Aim(s):

The Journal of Religious and Social Studies (JRSS) is committed to advancing high-quality scholarship in Religious and Social Studies, with particular emphasis on Islamic Studies. The journal aims to promote innovative and interdisciplinary research that addresses both classical Islamic scholarship and contemporary intellectual, social, ethical, and scientific challenges. JRSS provides a rigorous platform for publishing original research articles, review papers, and scholarly book reviews following a triple-blind peer-review process conducted by leading experts. It seeks to support emerging and established researchers, encourage critical academic dialogue, and foster diversity, tolerance, and intellectual exchange without ethnic, national, or religious discrimination. By welcoming contributions from scholars worldwide, JRSS aspires to strengthen global collaboration and enrich contemporary discourse on religion, society, and civilization.

Scope:

JRSS welcomes original, interdisciplinary research covering a broad spectrum of Religious and Social Studies, with a primary focus on Islam and Muslim societies in both historical and contemporary contexts. The journal publishes studies in Qur’anic Studies, Hadith, Tafsir, Islamic Law, Theology, Philosophy, History, Civilization, Ethics, Sufism, Comparative Religion, Islamic Thought, Literature, and Muslim societies. It also encourages research that engages with contemporary global issues, including Islamophobia, peace and conflict studies, postcolonial studies, critical Muslim studies, anthropology of Islam, liberation theology, Oriental and Occidental studies, and the interaction of religion with the social and natural sciences. By bridging traditional scholarship with modern academic inquiry, JRSS promotes comparative, cross-cultural, and multidisciplinary perspectives that advance scholarly understanding of religion and its role in shaping societies.
