Aims:

The primary aims and objectives of JRSS are:

  • To promote advanced scholarly research on contemporary issues of the modern era, alongside the traditional approaches to various branches of Islamic studies, with the goal of providing legitimate Islamic verdicts on complex social, individual, and scientific matters.

  • To assist academic researchers in publishing their works in all areas of religious studies, with a particular focus on Islamic studies.

  • To offer critical reviews of newly published books and other academic materials.

  • To publish articles following a rigorous blind peer-review process conducted by leading experts in Islamic and religious studies, in order to advance Islamic scientific research that addresses societal challenges.

  • To foster diversity, tolerance, and meaningful scholarly dialogue among researchers, irrespective of ethnic, national, or religious backgrounds. JRSS encourages scholars from across the globe to contribute to its platform.

Scope:

The scope of the Journal is intentionally broad, covering a wide range of topics in Religious Thought and Civilization, Social and Natural Sciences, Islamic, Oriental, and Occidental Studies, Comparative Religions, and contemporary issues related to Islam in the current geopolitical landscape. Topics include but are not limited to: Qur’anic Studies, Hadith, Islamic Philosophy, Islamic Law, Islamic History and Society, Islamic Thought and Literature, Islamic Origins, Islam and Peace, Islamic Civilization, Muslim Societies, Islamic Theology, Indo-Islamic Civilization, Oriental and Occidental Studies in relation to Islam, Comparative Religions, the conflict between Modernity and Tradition, contemporary issues such as Islamophobia, Critical Muslim Studies, Liberation Theologies, the Anthropology of Islam, Postcolonial Studies and Muslims, and more.
